What a blessed weekend break we had. Birds nest was exactly that, we experienced late afternoons and early mornings with the sounds of nature, birds calls, twitters and seeing squirrels scurrying from branch to branch was very entertaining. We saw a troop of baboons high upon the hill behind the house barking at each other as they make their way down to the valley below. This is the place to be if you want to experience nature and get away from it all!! Picture window! Wow! Most of all what a beautiful clean and well kept place to stay in. It is honestly appreciated. Thank you! We will be back!

Dit is wragtie ‘n baie oulike plekkie. Ons is workaholics, en die naweek het ons afgesluit, fone afgesit, en net geontspan terwyl ons staar na die berge, bome en voëltjies wat baljaar. Dit het heerlik gereën, en ons het die verskoning om binne te ontspan geniet. Groot vensters om ver te kan sien. Die Honey Company Restaurant is net so 5 minute se stappie weg. Werner het vir ons ‘n plan gemaak, toe ons voertuig nie wou start op uitkloktyd nie, hy het sommer gou iemand gekry om te kom help. Vir ‘n naweek was die wegbreek regtig wat ons nodig gehad het. En die lekker ding is, dit is nie ‘n dag se ry nie. Sommer om net hier om die draai. Ons gaan vir seker weer terug.

Baie lekker gekuier. Wandelpaaie gestap, heelwat diere gesien en voëls. Eekhorinkies het vir ons kom kuier op die stoepie. Wonderlike naweek.

Ons het baie lekker gebly. Die plek is beeldskoon en vreeslik rustig.

Tranquil and peaceful.

Fantastiese diens en rustige naweek. Stel definitief voor om daar te bly.

Baie nice, stil en die staff is great gewees. Sal julle weer besoek.

Dit was ‘n besondere ervaring en ek kan sonder twyfel aanbeveel vir almal wat wil rus en ontspan in die natuur. Ons was op die hande gedra en alles met soveel sorg hanteer.

Dit was regtig heerlik!

We had a great time, nice and quiet. 

We enjoyed the quiet stay! We felt welcome from the very beginning. The Tree House was spacious (we were 4) and well designed also for families with younger kids with two of the three bedrooms next to each other. For us, it was perfect and we also enjoyed the ‘meet & greet’ with all the zebras, impalas and smaller animals a lot! Thank you.

Love at first sight, I can’t even describe the beauty of the scenery in words. It’s a must see. We truly enjoyed our stay; the pictures aren’t doing enough justice. Amelia is such an amazing host. From the moment we drove in, she welcomed us warmly into her space. Thank you for the fresh flowers .

What a magical place tucked away in the mountains! The Wildebeesthoek Nature Reserve was the perfect escape from Joburg. The cottage was perfectly equipped for a winter weekend stay with a fireplace to keep us warm. Lots of bird life right outside our windows, and a short walk out to the cosy bird hide treated us to some great wildlife sightings. It was a truly memorable stay from start to finish, and we look forward to visiting again! Thank you to Amelia, Rahim and the team for everything!

Dit is ‘n pragtige plek. Ontvangs was uitstekend! Dit is waarlik ‘n “hidden gem”. Alles is skoon en netjies! Fantastiese staproetes en voëlsbesigtiging.

We had a lovely time. Very picturesque and private setting. We were looking for a small getaway over a long weekend and the surrounding amenities, markets and activities were perfect for our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wildebeesthoek Nature Reserve. The house was atmospheric, very clean, very well equipped and situated in a beautiful environment. We were welcomed with fresh flowers on the table. We love the birds and it was so nice to get the opportunity to read the names of the trees in the park and to meet giraffes and other animals during our walk. Our visit to the restaurant Honey Company was a real treat. We struggled with the red signet walk; for us pensioners, it was a bit of a struggle.

Die verblyf was uiters wonderlik gewees. Sal enige tyd terug reis na die stukkie hemel. Lekkerste naweek gewees.

Dit was een van die mooiste plekkies wat ek nog gevind het, so netjies en skoon. Ons het ongelooflik lekker gebly. Dit voel asof jy regtig tussen die bome wakker word. Sal definitief hierdie plekkie aanbeveel vir enige iemand. Die gasheer was baie akkommoderend en hulpvaardig.
