Fauna
Vast and varied communities of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, arachnids & invertebrates inhabit the reserve. Thus far 137 birds from birds of prey, forest and grassland species have been identified on the Reserve.
Some of the larger more common mammals being:
- Baboon
- Vervet Monkey
- Porcupine
- Kudu
- Zebra
- Blue Wildebeest
- Sable Antelope
- Giraffe
- Impala
- Jackal
- Blesbuck

Flora
There are 164 indiginous trees and shrubs species identified on Wildebeesthoek Nature Reserve. All these species have identification tags.
